MOORPARK : Man Fires Shots in Restaurant Dispute
Shots were fired in a Moorpark restaurant after a woman began struggling with a gunman who walked up to the table where she was sitting and fired a round into it, authorities saidFriday.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department received a report of shooting at Chuy’s Restaurant in the 500 block of Los Angeles Avenue about 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Mike De Los Santos said.
Witnesses told authorities that two women and a man were sitting together in the restaurant when a man came up to their table and began arguing with them, De Los Santos said.
The man then fired a shot into the table and one of the women tried to grab his gun, De Los Santos said. More shots were fired, he said.
Then the man and the group at the table left the restaurant, he said.
Deputies said no one involved in the altercation has come forward, De Los Santos said.
Authorities do not believe anyone was injured, he said.
