Resuscitation Devices Maker Sues Rival: Laerdal Medical Corp., a New York maker of resuscitation devices, sued a Temecula competitor, Hudson Respiratory Care Inc., on grounds that Hudson unlawfully imitated Laerdal’s products. The federal suit contends that in mid-1990 Hudson began fashioning its resuscitators after those of Laerdal, manufacturing interchangeable components for the different product lines and packaging its products similarly to Laerdal. The suit seeks an injunction to stop Hudson from copying its products, an accounting of profits by Hudson and unspecified damages. (Case No. 91-0216. Filed Jan. 14).
