Don’t Broadcast POWs, French General Says

PARIS —
France’s chief military spokesman asked French television stations Tuesday not to show Baghdad-supplied film of allied pilots in Iraqi hands.
“One should really ponder the exploitation of Iraqi film showing men who have suffered a lot and been treated in an intolerable fashion,” Brig. Gen. Raymond Germanos told a press briefing. He said the issue would become even more acute for French families if any French aviators were captured in the gulf.
