Two men have been arrested in connection with what police said was a gang-related killing on the Foothill Freeway in Pasadena Tuesday. Anthony Dwayne Shaw, 25, of Altadena was shot about 12:15 p.m. as he drove east on the freeway near San Gabriel Boulevard. The shots came from a maroon Ford Taurus that pulled alongside Shaw’s car, police said. Shaw’s passenger also was shot and received minor injuries.

The freeway was shut for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon while police searched for evidence. Later, officers found the Taurus abandoned in a parking lot in Northwest Pasadena.

No weapons were found, said Pasadena Police Sgt. Monte Yancey. One suspect was arrested when he went to police headquarters on an unrelated matter, Yancey said. The other man was arrested about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police did not release the names of the two men. More arrests are expected, they said.
