2 18-Year-Olds Guilty in Fatal Racist Attack

HOUSTON —
Two teen-agers were convicted Wednesday in the fatal beating of a Vietnamese youth. A Texas state district jury deliberated 6 1/2 hours before finding Derek Ian Hilla, 18, guilty of murder and Kevin Michael Allison, 18, guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
Hilla and Allison, wearing the shorn hair and heavy boots characteristic of white-supremacist “skinheads,” shouted “White power!” as they attacked Hung Truong, 15, on Aug. 9, witnesses said.
