Baxter Signs Pact on Intravenous Products

Baxter International Inc.’s IV Systems Division said it has signed a sole-source supply agreement with American Healthcare Systems expected to result in the sale of $250 million to $500 million in Baxter intravenous products over five years.

The contract took effect Jan. 1 and is the second-consecutive five-year IV contract between the two organizations. It provides incentives for American Healthcare to expand its purchases.

Based in San Diego, American Healthcare Systems is one of the nation’s largest health-care networks. Baxter International is a major worldwide manufacturer and marketer of health-care products, systems and services, offering more than 120,000 products to health-care providers in 100 countries.
