THE GULF WAR: The Home Front : Symbols: Flags

Share

In one Connecticut town, FLAGS have been in high demand. In the last few days, Flagman of America proprietor David Dimesky has sold more than a dozen of his $36 model of the Iraqi standard, which has red, white and black stripes and three green stars. Some customers say they’re buying the flags to burn, Dimesky said, or destroy. Meanwhile, he’s selling about 3,000 American flags a week.
