In TOKYO, more than 15,000 protested Japan’s pledge to boost its aid to the anti-Iraq coalition by $9 billion--the largest demonstration there yet. A leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party warned Parliament that the government could fall if lawmakers fail to support the pledge. AUSTRALIA, citing “security reasons,” ordered Iraq’s charge d’affaires, Sadd Omram, the highest-ranking Iraqi diplomat in Canberra, to leave within 72 hours. The order came after Omram said terrorists might strike Australia if it increases its military involvement with the allies. In NEW DELHI, police banned anti-war demonstrations outside embassies, saying they could strain ties with the allied coalition.
