A NATION OF KNOW-NOTHINGS

Go into any fast-food restaurant, department store; call to renew your auto insurance or to conduct any seemingly mundane business transaction; pose a problem outside the training script or corporate thought process to the person that you are dealing with, and see how often you will be shut off or be the cause of a commotion.

People are being educated and trained to know nothing; people are expected to know nothing. This makes for a more orderly society, a more accepting society--complacent, quiet and controllable--but destined for failure.

We should look into our hearts and ask where our dignity is. Then we can become again a nation that knows something and become able to help ourselves and benefit the world in which we live.
