James Worthy of the Lakers and three members of the Portland Trail Blazers were among 15 players added to the rosters today for the NBA All-Star Game.

The Blazers have the best record in the league but did not place a player in the starting lineup, which was selected by fan balloting. Clyde Drexler, Terry Porter and Kevin Duckworth of the Blazers were named as reserves on the Western Conference team today by the conference coaches.

Also named to the West roster were Tom Chambers of the Phoenix Suns, John Stockton of the Utah Jazz and Tim Hardaway of the Golden State Warriors.

Worthy, who will join Lakers’ teammate Magic Johnson on the West squad, leads Los Angeles in scoring with a 22.3-pont average. He also averages 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Because a wrist injury will keep Detroit’s Isiah Thomas out of the All-Star Game, coaches picked eight reserves instead of the usual seven for the East team.

Bernard King of the Washington Bullets, who ranks third in scoring at 30 points a game, was added to the East roster along with Ricky Pierce and Alvin Robertson of the Milwaukee Bucks, Dominique Wilkins of the Atlanta Hawks, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish of the Boston Celtics, Brad Daugherty of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Joe Dumars of the Detroit Pistons.

East Coach Chris Ford will name the replacement starter for Thomas.

The other East starters are Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls, Larry Bird of the Celtics, Charles Barkley of the Philadelphia 76ers and Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks.

The West starters are Magic Johnson of the Lakers, Kevin Johnson of the Suns, Karl Malone of the Jazz, Chris Mullin of the Warriors and David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs.
