National Intergroup Inc.: The Pittsburgh-based diversified firm said third-quarter net income plunged 91% to $2.65 million, while revenue rose 22% to $733.6 million. The year-ago quarter included a $14.7-million net gain related to the sale of two aluminum divisions and $15.3 million in other extraordinary gains. Without the transactions and other extraordinary items, its operating income totaled $1.05 million, contrasted with a $15.4-million loss in the previous year’s quarter.
