Operators May Soon Work From Home: Operators who handle calls for magazine subscriptions and airline reservations may soon have the option of working out of their homes with a product unveiled by American Telephone & Telegraph Co. The product, called the Home Agent, will allow call-center employees to work at home, even if they live thousands of miles from the call center, the company announced. The product is designed to increase the pool of potential workers to those that do not want to commute or cannot.
