Chinese New Year Fete at the Fairgrounds
To celebrate the Year of the Ram, the San Diego Chinese Center is sponsoring a Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Faire at the Del Mar Fairgrounds this weekend.
Demonstrations in cooking, martial arts, acupuncture and brush painting will be held Saturday and Sunday. Also planned is a celebrity Wok-a-Thon, Lion Dancers, psychic readings and films on China.
There will be children’s activities and Chinese food booths, along with cultural exhibits.
What: Chinese New Year Faire.
When: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Where: Pat O’Brien Pavilion at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Cost: $3 at the gate for adults, children under 12 free. Parking is free.
