Italian Mail to Carry Gulf Solidarity Legend

Italian mail will soon carry a special postmark expressing “Solidarity and gratitude to our military allies” in the Persian Gulf.
Oscar Mammi, the communications minister, announced Saturday that the postmark will go into use starting Feb. 11.
Italy has a small naval and air force contingent in the Gulf War.
