A Van Nuys man was being sought Sunday in connection with a shooting that left one of his brothers-in-law dead and another in critical condition, Los Angeles police said.
Manuel Ivero Herrera, 39, apparently shot brothers Edwin Alberto Cruz, 24, and Adan Rivas, 24, both of Van Nuys, during an argument in Herrera’s apartment in the 12000 block of Vanowen Street about 7 p.m. Saturday, Sgt. Greg Vinger said.
Herrera pulled out a handgun and shot Cruz and Rivas several times each, Vinger said.
Cruz died at the scene and Rivas was in critical condition Sunday at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. Herrera fled in a gray 1982 Toyota Celica, Vinger said.
