Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : Wine Drink Maker Plans Safer Design

The maker of a high-alcohol wine drink linked to at least 16 cases of alcohol poisoning among teen-agers announced it was changing its bottle due to concerns raised by health and consumer advocates. The fruit-flavored Cisco, a fortified wine that is 20% alcohol, is currently sold in clear bottles that look like wine coolers, which are about 5% alcohol. One bottle of Cisco, dubbed “liquid crack” by some, has the equivalent of five shots of 80-proof vodka.
