CAMARILLO : Rapist Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison
A Camarillo man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday for raping a woman who accepted a ride from him when her car wouldn’t start.
Ventura County Superior Court Judge Robert C. Bradley sentenced James Paul Henderson, 35, to six years for the rape and added four years because a knife was used to coerce the victim.
Henderson was arrested a few days after the attack with the help of an informant who used the We Tip hot line--a way for people to provide tips to police and collect rewards while remaining anonymous. Henderson will be eligible for parole in five years.
