A civilian Navy employee pleaded guilty Thursday to two felony bribery counts, federal prosecutors said.

Ronaldo Lee Sacay, 44, of Chula Vista, an industrial engineering technician at North Island Naval Air Station, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Earl B. Gilliam Jr. to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and one count of accepting a $2,000 bribe.

The indictment against Sacay charged that he conspired to buy and sell secret government contracting estimates, and that he accepted bribes in exchange for that information, said Assistant U.S. Atty. Robert J. Lauchlan, who prosecuted the case.

Sacay could be sentenced to a maximum of 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, Lauchlan said.

Gilliam set sentencing for May 20.
