Flavor Flav Fracas: Flavor Flav of the controversial rap group Public Enemy was arrested Saturday on a charge of striking his girlfriend, police said. The rapper, whose real name is William Drayton, was charged with third-degree assault for allegedly punching Karren Ross in the face during an argument on a street in Roosevelt, N.Y., where the two live. Police released Drayton, 31, pending a court appearance scheduled for Sunday. Public Enemy’s third album, “Fear of a Black Planet,” sold 1.5 million copies. The Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith labeled lyrics on the album anti-Semitic.
