TRW Unit Wins Contract: TRW’s Environmental Safety Systems unit in Fairfax, Va., won a Department of Energy contract to provide management and engineering services for the federal nuclear waste management system. The initial six-month phase of the 10-year contract is valued at $16 million. The program is intended to dispose of spent nuclear fuel from the civilian power plants and waste from the military weapons plants.
