THE GULF WAR : UH-1 Huey
Formally known as the Iroquois, the Huey was used extensively during the Vietnam War as a transport and escort helicopter. The twin turbo-powered helicopter, armed with two forward firing M60 machine guns, was the military’s first gunship. Since the begining of the war in the Gulf, two Hueys have been lost, both in noncombat.
