Questionable Motives

For Zev Yaroslavsky and 10 homeowners to imply that the annexation of Hillgreen Drive into Beverly Hills is a fire and safety issue (Times, Feb. 10) is incredible.
Hillgreen is more accessible and considerably easier to find than dozens of streets bordering Beverly Hills in Beverly and Coldwater canyons. Is Beverly Hills prepared to annex these streets as well, as those homeowners will surely suggest if Hillgreen is chosen?
Any ambulance driver with a compass and Page 42 of a Thomas Guide can surely locate Hillgreen Drive quick enough to satisfy Mr. Yaroslavsky, if that is really his concern.
