Odetics Posts Improved Earnings in 3rd Quarter

Odetics Inc., the Anaheim manufacturer of recorder- and robotics-based products, reported third-quarter net income of $70,000, up 71% from $41,000 for the year-earlier period.

Revenue for the fiscal 1991 quarter ended Dec. 31 increased 44% to $17.1 million from $11.9 million. Nine-month net income rose to $678,000 from $196,000 a year earlier.

Revenue was up 38%, to $52.7 million from $38.3 million.
