Benton Oil & Gas OKs 2-for-1 Stock Split
Benton Oil & Gas Co. said its directors approved a 2-for-1 split in the company’s stock in the form of a 100% stock dividend.
The Ventura-based energy concern said the dividend will be paid to stockholders of record today, and the shares are expected to be mailed by Feb. 26.
The split will be Benton’s second since it issued its first stock to the public two years ago. Benton currently has about 4.4 million total common shares outstanding.
