COLLEGE BASKETBALL BIG WEST ROUNDUP : New Mexico State Wins, 73-67

New Mexico State took control late in the second half to defeat San Jose State, 73-67, in a Big West Conference game Saturday night at San Jose.

After the Spartans (7-18, 5-11) rallied from a 12-point deficit to tie the score, 51-51, with 7:59 to play, the No. 15 Aggies (21-3, 13-2) scored 10 consecutive points to take a 61-51 lead with 3:56 left.

Pacific 75, Fresno State 73--Dell Demps made a 10-foot jump shot with one second left to give the Tigers, who had blown a 16-point lead, the victory at Stockton.

Pacific (13-12, 9-7) led, 67-51, with 10:41 left, but the Bulldogs (11-14, 6-10) rallied to take a 73-69 lead.
