The issue of the Johnson vs. Calvert must boil down to what is in the child’s best interest. Disregarding the important differences in race, socioeconomic status and other factors, please consider: By whom should any child be raised--by a woman whose desire to keep, care for and love him is inconsistent (at best)? Or by a couple who conceived him for no other reason than to keep, care for and love him?
