Micom Agrees to Supply Equipment to Novatel

Micom Communications Corp. in Simi Valley, which makes equipment that allows computers to share data, said it signed an agreement to supply $100,000 worth of its data and voice networking equipment to Novatel Computer Systems Corp. of San Fernando, an affiliate of MCI Corp.

Under the agreement, Novatel will resell the Micom equipment, which combines data, voice and fax communications onto a single network. The equipment is targeted at small- to medium-sized businesses.

Micom is a subsidiary of Black Box Inc. of Simi Valley, which also owns a mail order business for computer parts.
