Reporter Loses Credentials Over Hussein Asylum Story

ALGIERS —
The Algerian Foreign Ministry said Saturday it has removed the accreditation of a French journalist who reported that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein had asked Algeria for asylum.
The ministry said Georges Marion of the newspaper Le Monde was guilty of disinformation and said it decided “with great regret” to withdraw his accreditation.
