Iraqi President Saddam Hussein MOVES FREQUENTLY AND HAS CAMPER VANS dotted about the country to confuse allied forces about his whereabouts, according to U.S. military sources. “Saddam has shown up in as many places as Elvis,” said one U.S. Army officer, who asked not to be identified. “He’s very cagey, he’s a survivor.” The officer added: “Before the war, Saddam bought a lot of motor coach homes. We look and they’re everywhere. I’m sure it was part of a deception effort. . . . We have not targeted these things because there’s no telling who we would be shooting. . . . He’s spent his entire professional life doing this stuff, not just dodging us but his own people.”
