Get the most from your plants by preparing the soil with soil amendments. A lack of rain means a lack of needed nitrogen and other nutrients.

Arbor Day is March 7. A tree can be a gift of lasting beauty and a benefit to everyone since it helps purify our air and provides food and shade.

Prune fuchsias, pelargoniums and geraniums for fuller plants and more flowers.

If weather permits, plant your vegetables as soon as possible and extend your harvest by planting at two- to three-week intervals.
