WHAT’S THE RUSH?

The article on Rush Limbaugh fails to point out the real basis of his appeal: His planet-despising hyper-individualism is based on the very growth-is-good assumptions shared and fostered by most of the economics departments and business schools in our nation’s universities. Limbaugh has a constituency of professors and business executives who still guide our destinies and continue to direct us to our homogenized, commercialized doom.

There is an academic movement to protect diversity for its own sake on our planet, but its influence is still largely limited to the humanities and biology departments.
