COLLEGE BASKETBALL : WOMEN’S ROUNDUP : USC Clinches Third Place, 69-51

USC assured itself of third place in the Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball standings Sunday with a 69-51 victory over Washington State Sunday at the Lyon Center.
Joni Easterly scored 15 points for the Trojans (17-10 overall, 11-6 in the Pac-10), while Tammy Story had 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and Lisa Leslie scored 14 points. Darci Wellsandt scored 14 points for the Cougars (16-10, 8-8).
No. 9 Washington 64, UCLA 54--The Huskies (21-4, 13-3) scored 10 consecutive points midway through the second half and pulled away to defeat the Bruins at the Wooden Center.
DeDe Mossman scored 15 points for UCLA (14-13, 9-8), which closes out the regular season Friday night at USC.
