Albertson’s Inc.: The Boise, Ida.-based supermarket chain reported that fourth-quarter earnings jumped 22.6% to $73.9 million on revenue that rose 8.9% to $2.11 billion. For the year, income leaped 18.9% to $233.8 million, and revenue was up 10.7% to $8.22 billion. The company said the increases in profitability were due primarily to new, more efficient distribution centers.
