IRVINE : Community Church Names Senior Pastor
South Coast Community Church administrator Don Johnson has been named senior pastor of the church, which has one of the county’s largest congregations.
The church’s board of directors selected Johnson in a unanimous decision last week.
Johnson has been with the church since 1987, first holding the position of pastor to men and couples and later serving as pastoral staff administrator.
Johnson is said to be popular with the congregation and has acted as speaker since Tim Timmons, the church’s founder, resigned last year.
