Dissenting Voices: Los Angeles writers, poets, actors and musicians will read and perform works that express their dissenting views about the Persian Gulf War tonight at 8 at the 48 Market Street Gallery in Venice. Casey Kasem will host the event, organized by Ron Kovic, author of “Born on the Fourth of July,” and Gerald Nicosia, author of a biography of writer Jack Kerouac. Among the 30 scheduled participants are Ed Asner, Woody Harrleson, Esai Morales, Susan Anspach, Martin Sheen, Graham Nash, John DiFusco, Kate Braverman and Aram Saroyan.
