Missing Boy May Have Been Seen in Malibu
The search for missing 3-year-old Travis Zwieg focused Thursday on information that a child fitting his description had been seen in Malibu far from Pinyon Pines in Riverside County where the boy disappeared over the weekend.
Sheriff’s investigators reported that a child resembling the sandy-haired toddler had been seen in Malibu Tuesday in the company of two white male adults driving a 1940 to 1950 model bus, with the words “Grace Baptist Church” written on its side in script.
A bus fitting that description was seen in the Pinyon Pines area before Travis’ disappearance from a cabin near California 74 on Sunday, investigators said.
Rescuers combed the area near the cabin.
