Since inquiring minds want to know who I am, I guess I better tell them in order to satisfy their insatiable curiosity.

I am 44 years old, have a master’s degree in public administration and a BA degree in political science, and have worked in city government for the past 18 years.

Yes, I do like to write, as writing about a topic stimulates my interest in it. I write several letters a week, and enjoy doing so. I particularly like sports, politics and the movies.

I think everyone should write letters to newspapers and magazines, as very few places in this world give its people an opportunity to freely express their point of view.

I consider myself fortunate for the Los Angeles Times to print so many of my letters. And no, I am not an owner, publisher or editor of the Los Angeles Times, though I would be proud to be, as I consider it one of the finest publications around.
