Health Care Priorities

Share

One wonders where our priorities are in this country, this state and this county. We spend hundreds of millions of dollars to destroy with our military-industrial complex, yet we can’t afford a County Medical Services program for 25,000 poor adults in San Diego County.

The cost of the CMS program until July 1, 1991: $16 million; the equivalent of 16 Tomahawk missiles. And to think of all those poor fools who thought Pete Wilson would do great things for San Diego.

America’s finest city? You’ve got to be kidding. This is a public disgrace. Shame on you, Pete Wilson, unless you have a change of heart soon.
