Question: What special privileges does the Costa Rican government extend visitors who wish to stay there at least four months a year?

Answer: To qualify for Costa Rico’s special program, visitors must prove they have a minimum monthly income of $600. Those who qualify also get to import one automobile and one set of household goods duty-free. Long-term renters must show a guaranteed income of $1,000 per month.
