Bernson, Water and Development
Many letters to the editor concern putting a moratorium on water hookups, especially on new construction.
I am at Valley College in my second semester in economics. I have learned that if we no longer allow hookups to new construction, we will freeze the supply of available housing at a particular level. The demand will continue to increase, causing a major rise in the price of housing.
I am not interested in living in an apartment for $2,000 a month, since I’m not very happy paying $600 as it is.
