As long as a team hinges its hopes on one inconsistent shooter, it is going to be mediocre at best. USC’s 19-10 record belies the fact that George Raveling padded its schedule with a plethora of weaker teams. I was absolutely dumbfounded as Harold Miner cast off with an assortment of airballs, bricks and rim-breakers while Raveling sat there praying (not coaching) that one might go in.
