EDS Gets Stake in Van Nuys Firm: Dallas-based Electronic Data Systems said it acquired a “substantial portion” of the assets of Operator Assistance Network, a Van Nuys company that provides billing services for operator-assisted phone calls. The value of the deal was not disclosed. OAN is one of the largest billing clearinghouses and financial service companies, with about $250 million in annual billing and collection transactions, EDS said.
