Science Panel Honors Caltech Professor

Caltech biology professor Melvin Simon will be awarded the Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology from the National Academy of Sciences in a ceremony April 29 in Washington.

He will receive a cash prize of $5,000. Simon conducts research on the molecular bases of nervous behavior in organisms ranging from bacteria to mammals.
