Canadian Bank Hit by Mysterious Theft

MONTREAL —
An armored truck left the Bank of Montreal with cash for four branches, but when staffers at the receiving end opened the sacks they found only newsprint, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
The bank would confirm only that it lost $500,000 in a Tuesday theft.
