Controversy Over Gates, Bradley
Chief Gates’ 10-point plan to restore confidence in the LAPD is a good one and should certainly be supported by all law-abiding, tax-paying citizens. Mayor Bradley should set up a similar plan to restore confidence in the mayor’s office. There is a desperate need to examine all, so far unanswered, questions of favoritism and payoffs, namely Juanita St. John, the Rev. H.H. Brookings, the airport duty-free store and the anarchy encouraging the Police Commission.
