Semiconductor Shipments Improve: Shipments of semiconductors in the U.S. market improved again last month as the industry continued to pull away from last fall’s slump, the Semiconductor Industry Assn. reported. It said the industry’s preliminary book-to-bill ratio for March was 1.09, up from a low of 0.93 in November. A ratio greater than 1 indicates that semiconductor orders, known as bookings, are outpacing shipments, or billings.
