Restaurant Says It Wasn’t One Cited

Share

The Times recently ran an article on the health department closing two restaurants for violating the health code in February. One of the restaurants was called Yolanda’s Place, 834 Wooley Road, Oxnard. Many of our customers have asked if this was our Oxnard restaurant that was closed. We thought that most people would know from the address that this was not our restaurant but, unfortunately, this has not been the case.

We have been serving Ventura County for over nine years and we would like to go on record as saying that we have never been closed by the health department at any of our restaurant locations: Yolanda’s Mexican Cafe, 2801 S. Saviers Road, Oxnard, and 2753 E. Main St., Ventura; Yolie’s Mexican Cafe, 159 Esplanade Drive, Oxnard, and Desert Rose Cafe and Cantina, 26 S. Garden St., Ventura.

We are not in any manner or form related to Yolanda’s Place. Thank you for allowing us to clarify which Yolanda’s the health department closed.
