27 Hurt in Blast Aboard Tanker Under Repair

ELEVSIS, Greece —
An explosion aboard an oil tanker under repair injured 27 people Friday, the Merchant Marine Ministry said.
The explosion occurred while the Alexandros, a Bahamian-flag tanker, was in dry dock, the announcement said. Two people were slightly burned and 25 others were treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was put out in 20 minutes, the ministry said. The incident is under investigation.
