MTM Taken Off the Block: MTM Enterprises, the troubled television production company that made programs such as “Hill Street Blues” and “St. Elsewhere,” is no longer for sale after its British parent company failed to obtain a satisfactory offer. TVS Entertainment had been discussing selling its subsidiary to Spelling Productions for about $70 million, but the companies could not agree on other, unspecified sales conditions.
