ATI Medical Agrees to Sell Software Subsidiary

ATI Medical Inc., a Glendale company that rents medical equipment to hospitals and the entertainment industry, said it has tentatively agreed to sell its CAMS Inc. software subsidiary to a group of investors from Georgia. Terms were not disclosed.

Under the deal, ATI will remain the exclusive distributor of CAMS software, which monitors equipment usage and inventory for hospitals.

ATI said the subsidiary accounted for about 5% of revenue in the fiscal year that ended July 31, 1990, and a nominal portion of that year’s net income. ATI expects the deal to close April 30.
